JHANG: Fourteen people were killed in a traffic accident on Wednesday near Kali Faqeer on the Faisalabad Road.
The accident occurred when a bus collided head-on with a speeding passenger van. The bus was travelling from the Veterinary University to Lahore while the van was coming from Faisalabad.
Two seriously injured persons were shifted to DHQ Hospital after receiving initial medical assistance from Rescue 1122 teams. Deputy Commissioner Ali Akbar Bhandar and District Police Officer Bilal Iftikhar Kayani reached the spot to supervise rescue and relief operations. Authorities expressed deep grief over the loss of lives and have launched an investigation into the cause of accident.
