The Railway Police’s Karachi Division on Saturday returned a passenger’s huge amount of Rs3.8 million.

On December 26, a passenger, Mohsin Mushtaq, who was travelling from Karachi to Toba Tek Singh on the Pakistan Express, got off the train at the Hyderabad Railway Station for some personal work.

Meanwhile, the train departed with the passenger’s luggage, which contained about Rs3.8 million in cash. While on duty, Constable Rao Sharif found the bag on the train, which was immediately taken into safe custody.

Later, the passenger reached the police station and informed the police about his missing luggage. The passenger was informed that his bag had been found by the Railways Police.

On the timely instructions of the SHO, Constable Rao Sharif left for the Railway Station Rohri on the Pakistan Express, while the passenger reached Rohri by the Karakoram Express.

In the presence of the Sub-Inspector at the Rohri Help Center, the passenger identified his belongings, after which Rs3.8 million from the bag was handed over to the passenger. Mushtaq released a video message of gratitude, appreciating the honesty and professional role of the Railways Police.
