ALPURI: The rain across Shangla district and its surrounding areas, along with light snowfall on the upper hills and mountain ranges, has led to a sharp drop in temperatures, increasing cold across the valley.
After a prolonged dry spell, rain began on Saturday night, falling heavily in some areas and intermittently in others. The rainfall brought light snowfall to the higher mountainous regions, effectively ending the extended drought.
During the dry period, many natural springs and waterfalls in Shangla’s hilly areas had dried up, resulting in a severe water shortage. However, the situation has begun to improve rapidly following rainfall over the last two days, with water availability increasing and the shortage easing considerably.
