LAHORE: Pakistan’s rowing contingent delivered a historic performance at the Thailand International Rowing Regatta, clinching an impressive 20 medals -- 14 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze, under the supervision of coach Asghar Ali.

The three-day event featured over 200 athletes from eight countries, making Pakistan’s dominance all the more remarkable. Among the standout performers was Farid Mohammad Arif, who captured six gold medals and was declared one of the best players of the tournament. Equally outstanding was Anaya Jahan Naz Zaidi, who secured seven gold medals, earning recognition as the tournament’s best player. Their achievements underscored Pakistan’s rising stature in international rowing. Hooria Faisal, daughter of former Test cricketer Faisal Iqbal, claimed a gold medal.
