PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has appointed Prof Dr Nurul Iman as member and chairman of the Board of Governors (BoG) of Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) Peshawar.
The provincial Health Department in a notification stated his appointment as chairman of the BoG has been made for a period of three years.Having worked at various senior positions in the past, Dr Nurul Iman will look after HMC, Khyber Girls Medical College, Institute of Kidney Diseases and Burn and Plastic Surgery Centre.
The former chairman of the BoG had resigned from his position due to the alleged interference of the Insaf Doctors Forum. Dr Nurul Iman was earlier appointed chairman of the Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex in Nowshera but refused to work there after alleged political interference in the hospital and its medical college.
He had a bitter experience in the past when he was made chairman of the BoG for Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex in Nowshera.When he initiated the reform process, a former PTI leader turned against him allegedly for not inducting his nominees and created issues for him.
