Youth movements are always driving social change. In recent years, we have seen a strong wave of change not driven by armies and political elites, but by smartphones, social media networks and the generation who choose not to keep quiet. Pakistan has young people who have never had more power than they have today. It is not due to their numbers, but the awareness, their availability of information and their mobilisation capability through digital platforms. Their voice may act as a bridge between frustration and reform. However, this can only happen when they are able to start using it responsibly, wisely and courageously.
