ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, has taken serious notice of the tragic incident reported in Bahawalnagar, in which a woman, Kaneez Fatima, was allegedly set ablaze by her husband.
The Minister has formally requested the Punjab government and all concerned law enforcement agencies to initiate an immediate, transparent, and impartial investigation. He stressed the need to determine the facts of the case without delay and to ensure that justice is served.
Senator Tarar expressed confidence that the Punjab government and investigative authorities will take strict action against all individuals found responsible for the crime, in accordance with the law.
