The Sindh government, on the request of the Chairman of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK), has imposed Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) around educational institutes during the Intermediate Supplementary Examinations 2025.

Officials said the Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi issued a notification on Tuesday stating: “Whereas the Chairman, Board of Intermediate Education Karachi, through a letter, has informed that the Higher Secondary Certificate (Intermediate) Supplementary Examinations 2025 for all groups will be held from December 2 to December 30, 2025. The examinations will take place in the afternoon shift, from 2pm to 5pm, across the Karachi Division.

The Chairman BIEK has requested the imposition of a ban under Section 144 CrPC to restrict the entry of irrelevant and unauthorised individuals in and around examination centers, except students with valid admit cards and ID cards, as well as designated examination staff.
