ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif interviewed 5 Grade-21 officers of the Information Group for the appointment of new Secretary Information and Broadcasting. The notification of the appointment is likely to be issued soon. According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif interviewed Dr Tariq Mahmood Khan, who is waiting for the appointment, Secretary to the Prime Minister Arshad Munir, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil, Executive DG Information Service Academy Imrana Wazir and Executive DG Digital Communication Department and DG Radio Saeed Ahmed Sheikh for the appointment of Secretary Information and Broadcasting.
According to sources, the Establishment Division will notify the new secretary of Information and Broadcasting after receiving instructions from the Prime Minister’s Office. The post of Federal Secretary Information and Broadcasting has been vacant since October 23, 2025.
