VOIDS

THINK PAD

Almost every single one of us has these voids in our lives … holes, empty spaces which can never ever be filled. People around you think that you are okay with it because it’s something that you never had, and you don’t even want it because you never knew how it feels to have it. In fact, you yourself don’t feel that you have this void in your life until you’re mature enough to realise that there’s a big part in your life which has been missing ever since the beginning of your time. The worst part is when you do finally feel these empty spaces, these voids, there’s literally nothing you can do to cover them up, and it only gets worse the more you think about it.

VOIDS

These holes are like burdens which you have to carry on your back all your life. You, and only you, are the one who’s got to deal with it. You think about it more and more every day because that’s all you can do. Sometimes you just forget about it with time, but other times this burden becomes so heavy that it can break a strong person to tears.

Little and ordinary events of life seem ordinary to everyone except to the one whose feelings were triggered through that particular event, the one thinking that they had finally got over it, had dealt with the void, and were never going to have thoughts about it again. But the heart… the heart bleeds, for days … even months, every time, when it cannot get the only thing which it desires the most, and this goes on and on and on, forever.

Some of you who read this won’t really get what I’m talking about here, but those who do feel the same way I do will get it for sure. These matters aren’t discussed because no one will ever speak about the voids in their life, thinking that no one would understand them, or that they’re the only ones having such desiderium feelings. The truth is that most of these voids are of familial relations. Teenagers are the ones most affected by these voids, and they do feel the pain inside without anyone noticing. But it is the way it is, and in the end, you’ve got to accept it this way. Stay strong, think about it less, because of course you can never escape it forever. Keep yourself busy and thank Allah for what you have now.
