Kenneth Joseph Marino
Born on 19 December 1968 in Long Island, New York, U.S. to an Italian-American family.
Studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute and Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
Met David Wain and Craig Wedren on his first day at NYU. They quickly befriended and were among the co-founders of The New Group comedy troupe, which eventually became The State.
Appeared, alongside several other members of The State, on the sketch comedy series You Wrote It, You Watch It (1992), before the troupe gained their own sketch comedy series The State (1993 – 1995).
Has since appeared in shows such as Veronica Mars (2005 – 2007, 2019), Reaper (2008 – 2009), Childrens Hospital (2008 – 2016), Party Down (2009 – 2010, 2023), Marry Me (2014 – 2015), Black Monday (2019 – 2021), The Other Two (2019 – 2023), and The Residence (2025), as well as the Wet Hot American Summer franchise (2001 – 2017).
Has been the lead vocalist for the Middle Aged Dad Jam Band which is led by members of The State and started during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Has been married to screenwriter Erica Oyama since 2005. They have two children.
