LAHORE: An interesting solo show of paintings/calligraphy titled ‘Khisht, Zaviya & Tasawur’ by Naeem Ahmed Chaudhry was opened at Coopera Art Gallery where about 30 vibrant artworks were put on display.

It is the first solo show of the artist who is basically an architect, but began painting about eight years back. His work ranged from abstract minimalism and expressionism to contemporary abstract calligraphy.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Emeritus Prof Dr Neelam Naz, who praised the efforts of Naeem Ahmed for producing such a unique piece of artwork.

An artist and educationist Ms Robina Nadeem curated the show, which would certainly contribute to the field of fine arts.

A large number of artists, art enthusiasts & students attended the inaugural ceremony.

They were found taking keen interest in the showcased artworks. A veteran visual artist M Javed holder of Pride of Performance told The News that the artist had intelligently used the colours and patterns inspired from geometrical Islamic shapes.

This exhibition will remain open at Coopera Art Gallery daily from 10.30am to 6.00pm until June 30, 2026 except holidays.
