LAHORE: After the reduction in petrol and diesel prices, Lahore Traffic Police has also been mobilised to ensure relief to the public.

Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi made a surprise visit to Niazi Bus Stand and reviewed the transport fares.

During the visit, the CTO inspected the new fare list and obtained information from passengers regarding fares. He also reviewed the status of implementation of fares at various transport stands.

Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said that the full benefit of the reduction in the prices of petroleum products should reach the public and transporters should ensure implementation of the fixed fare list. He warned that strict action would be taken against those who overcharge and charge fares above the fixed rates.

The CTO said that immediate action would be taken on receiving complaints of overcharging to ensure the protection of the rights of passengers.
