KARACHI: Rehan Sheikh, M Ali Khattak, and Zeinab Rehan won titles at 3rd Ibrahim Memon Beach Tennis Tournament held at Hyderabad Public School the other day.
In the final of men’s doubles, the pair of Rehan and M Ali defeated the duo of Asad Bachani and Shahzad 11-6. Zeinab beat Sanam Baluch 11-5 in the final of singles category.
As many as 32 players from Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, and Jamshoro participated in the competition, which received technical and organisational support from the Hyderabad Tennis
Association (HTA) and Sindh Tennis Association (STA).
For the promotion of beach tennis in Sindh, beach tennis equipment was supplied by Sandever, an International Tennis Federation (ITF) collaborator in the global promotion of beach tennis, to the Principal of Hyderabad Public School.
Tariq Bajari, Secretary Hyderabad Gymkhana, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
Tariq Bajari proposed future collaborative sports ventures between Hyderabad Gymkhana and Hyderabad Public School. In response, Iqbal Memon offered the school’s facilities, including its two synthetic tennis courts, for hosting future provincial and national tennis championships.
