LAHORE: Comprehensive security arrangements were implemented at mosques and Imambargahs across the city on the first Friday of Muharram.
Under the directions of DIG Operations Lahore Faisal Kamran, snipers were deployed at sensitive mosques and Imambargahs, while supervisory officers remained in the field to continuously monitor security arrangements. Strict checking of every person was ensured before entry into places of worship.
Patrolling teams carried out effective rounds around mosques and Imambargahs, while motorcycles and vehicles were parked at a safe distance from worship places to maintain security protocols.
