ISLAMABAD: Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi for his continued absence despite being summoned in a case of making misleading allegations against state institutions and damaging their reputation.
During the hearing on Thursday, Sohail Afridi again did not appear in the court, and the court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for him.
The court adjourned the hearing until June 29. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) had registered a case against the KP CM under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (Peca) Act.
