Three members of a family killed over domestic dispute

LALAMUSA: A horrific shooting incident has rocked the village of Bazurgwal in the jurisdiction of Kakrali police station where a young man, allegedly during a domestic quarrel, opened fire and killed his brother, sister-in-law, and uncle.

Police have registered a murder case on the complaint of Robina Kausar, wife of one of the deceased, Munawar Hussain. The accused has been arrested, police said. According to the First Information Report (FIR), complainant Robina Kausar’s son-in-law, Hassan Umair, visited the house at Gakhra Kalan. After offering Fajr prayers, Robina Kausar and Hassan Umair went for a walk towards the residence of her brother, Muhammad Arshad. Meanwhile, Munawar and M Afzal, both residents of Bazurgwal, were returning from a nearby mosque after prayers. Upon reaching the house, the group reportedly heard a heated argument and commotion inside. When they entered the courtyard through an open door, they saw accused Qazi Noman Arshad armed with a pistol in a violent confrontation with his brother Sufyan Arshad and sister-in-law Ramsha Sufyan. The accused mother, Zainat-un-Nisa, was also present and reportedly tried to stop him. According to eyewitness, the accused allegedly killed his brother Sufyan Arshad and later Ramsha Sufyan when she tried to intervene. He also allegedly shot dead Munawar Hussain when he attempted to intervene into the matter.
