RAWALPINDI: Commander of Turkish Land Forces General Metin Tokel called on Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to discuss matters of mutual interest, the military’s media wing said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the meeting, matters of mutual professional interest, regional security dynamics and avenues for enhanced bilateral defence cooperation were discussed, the statement said.
The visiting dignitary also visited the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad and called on Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf.
The Turkish military commander also called on Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at the Air Headquarters in Islamabad.
