Rawalpindi: A large gathering of devotees, religious scholars, spiritual leaders and dignitaries participated in the central session of the annual three-day Urs celebrations at Eidgah Sharif on Tuesday, according to a press release.
The International ‘Ya Rasool Allah’ (PBUH) Conference was held during the Urs under the chairmanship of Pir Muhammad Naqeeb ur Rehman, spiritual leader and Sajjada Nashin of Eidgah Sharif.Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider attended the conference as chief guests.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Senate Gilani said that the teachings and Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) provide a comprehensive framework for building a peaceful and prosperous society based on justice, equality, tolerance, brotherhood and respect for humanity.Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider emphasised that true success in this world and the Hereafter lies in following the path of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
