A man was found dead in mysterious circumstances at a house in Orangi Town No 1. The discovery prompted police to launch an investigation, while the victim’s family alleged foul play and accused his wife of involvement in his death.
The deceased, identified as Hamza, was found hanging inside the house with a noose around his neck. The incident occurred just days before his wedding reception, which was scheduled to take place on June 18. According to Hamza’s family, preparations for the function had already been completed, and there was no indication that he was facing any personal or financial difficulties.
Speaking to the media, Hamza’s father, Zahooruddin, said his son contracted a Nikah on April 10. He explained that Hamza had been splitting his time between living with his parents and staying with his wife after the marriage. He added that the family was making final arrangements for the upcoming wedding event, and all necessary preparations, including clothing and other essentials, had already been completed.
The grieving father maintained that his son had no known problems and was looking forward to the celebrations. He claimed that the family was informed early in the morning that Hamza’s body had been found inside the house. “When I reached the house, I saw my son’s body hanging. The rope was coming out from beneath his legs,” he said, expressing suspicion that Hamza had been murdered rather than taking his own life. Family members also stated that this was Hamza’s first marriage, whereas his wife had previously been married and is a mother of three.
Police officials confirmed that Hamza’s wife had been taken into custody for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation. They stated that a postmortem examination of the body had been completed, but the exact cause of death would only be determined once the chemical examination report was received. Investigators were currently collecting evidence and recording statements from family members and other relevant individuals.
