LAHORE:A 27-yearold woman, ‘F’, succumbed to her injuries in hospital on Tuesday, five days after she was allegedly stabbed by her uncle during a domestic dispute.In a separate incident, five people, including a woman, were injured when rival groups exchanged fire in the Manhala area over a land dispute. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
Passerby injured in exchange of fire
Unidentified armed suspects opened fire on a police checkpoint in the Shahdara area and escaped from the scene. A passerby sustained injuries during the exchange of fire between the attackers and police.
Meanwhile, a food delivery rider was injured critically after being hit by a speeding car near Moor Chowk, Bahria Town, on Tuesday. Rescue teams shifted the injured to hospital. Police have taken the driver into custody.
Three held in honour killing case
Kahna Police arrested three suspects, including a woman, in connection with a murder case. The victim, Mohsin, died after being stabbed during an altercation. Police said investigations are ongoing.
Assault suspect held
Sundar police arrested a suspect accused of assaulting a 14-yearold girl. Police registered a case and handed the suspect over to the Gender Cell. Meanwhile, Shad Bagh Police arrested a suspect involved in liquor supply. Around 70 bottles of liquor and 10 litre in a gallon were recovered from the youth.A case has been registered.
Robbers gang arrested
Race Course police arrested a four-member gang allegedly involved in robberies at houses and shops in different areas of the city.Police recovered two motorcycles, an LCD television, a laptop, mobile phones and weapons from the suspects. Cases have been registered and further investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, Dolphin Squad arrested a suspected mobile phone snatcher during routine patrolling and handed him over to Chung police for legal action. The suspect, identified as Sajid, was taken into custody and stolen mobile phones were recovered from his possession.
Meanwhile, Harbanspura police arrested a three-member gang allegedly involved in motorcycle theft and recovered stolen property from their possession. The gang, led by Irfan alias Fani, was apprehended during a crackdown. Police recovered two stolen motorcycles, cash, master keys and weapons from the suspects. Cases have been registered.
Woman found dead
A 23-yearold woman was found dead in a hotel located in Defence A. Police shifted the body for medico-legal formalities.
