I am writing to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the increasing traffic congestion in Garden West, Karachi. Every day, residents, students and office workers get stuck in traffic. The situation is particularly severe during morning and evening rush hours. Illegal parking and poor traffic management often result in long delays, students are often late for school and people waste a lot of time sitting in traffic. Traffic congestion is not just annoying, it also makes the air dirty, makes a lot of noise and increases the chance of accidents on the road.
Even ambulances and fire trucks have a hard time getting where they need to go because the roads are blocked. I request the traffic police and the city authorities to do something now to improve the traffic flow, crackdown on improper parking and to make sure everyone follows the traffic rules.
