PESHAWAR: Speakers at a programme on Wednesday renewed the commitment to eliminate thalassemia and urged the public to support such efforts to protect future generations from this hereditary disease.
They were addressing a thalassemia awareness event that was arranged at the Frontier Foundation as part of an ongoing awareness-raising campaign aimed at preventing the spread of the hereditary blood disorder, said a press release. Thalassemia patients, their parents attended the programme.
