LAKKI MARWAT: A bridegroom and his brother were booked after celebratory firing claimed the life of a 10-year-old boy in the Tarikhel area of Lakki Marwat district, police officials said on Wednesday.
They said that the incident occurred inside the house of Abdul Rahim during the wedding of his son. They said that a bullet struck Muhammad Raziullah, as a result of which he was critically wounded and died instantly. Saifullah, father of the deceased boy, told the officials of the Tajori Police Station in his preliminary report that he was a mason by profession and was busy carrying out construction work at the residence of Sabir Khan in the village when someone informed him about the incident.
He said that he immediately reached the hospital in Tajori town, where he found the body of his son lying in the emergency ward. He told police that his son died as a result of the celebratory firing made by groom Rashid Rahim and his brother Saqib Rahim. Police officials said that they had initiated an investigation after registering a case under the relevant sections of law.
