ISLAMABAD: The legal proceedings in the court of Special Judge Central Islamabad, Humayun Dilawar, failed to make any headway due to the non-submission of the final challan report in the Toshakhana vehicles reference involving President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and other co-accused.
During Tuesday’s hearing, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was unable to produce the requisite challan report before the bench. Consequently, the court adjourned further hearings of the case until September 10. Following the recent restoration of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) amendments, the high-profile Toshakhana vehicles reference had been formally transferred from the accountability body to the FIA court for trial.
