DERA ISMAIL KHAN: An FC soldier was martyred near Kulachi-Daraban Morr area in Kulachi tehsil in Dera Ismail on Monday.
According to sources, FC soldier Muhammad Iqbal, was on Eid holidays at his home when he went missing a day earlier. His body was recovered on Monday near Masti Khan Boring at Kulachi-Daraban Morr. Following identification, the deceased was confirmed to be Muhammad Iqbal.
The sources said the soldier had reportedly been waiting for a bus to travel to Tank when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him. He sustained multiple bullet injuries and embraced martyrdom on the spot. The martyred soldier belonged to the Darazinda area. The law enforcement agencies launched an investigation into the incident and are working to identify those responsible for the attack.
