PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Monday issued a new seniority list of its judges after the appointment of a judge transferred from the Islamabad High Court to Peshawar.
According to an official notification issued by the PHC Registrar after approval from the Administrative Committee, Chief Justice Syed Muhammad Attique Shah remains the senior-most judge of the PHC, while Justice Ejaz Anwar retains the position of Senior Puisne Judge.
Justice Babar Sattar, who was transferred from the Islamabad High Court to the PHC, has been placed at seventh position in the seniority list. As per the newly issued list, Justice Syed Arshad Ali stands at third position, followed by Justice Sahibzada Asadullah at fourth, Justice Muhammad Naeem Anwar at fifth, and Justice Waqar Ahmad at sixth.
The remaining positions in the seniority list are as follows: Justice Babar Sattar (7th), Justice Kamran Hayat Miankhel (8th), Justice Muhammad Ejaz Khan (9th), Justice Muhammad Fahim Wali (10th), Justice Khurshid Iqbal (11th), Justice Tariq Afridi (12th), Justice Abdul Fayyaz (13th), Justice Farah Jamshed (14th), Justice Inamullah Khan (15th), Justice Sabitullah Khan (16th), Justice Salahuddin (17th), Justice Sadiq Ali Momand (18th), Justice Mudassar Amir (19th), Justice Aurangzeb (20th), and Justice Qazi Jawad Ehsanullah (21st). The revised seniority list was issued in light of the Administrative Committee’s decision of May1.
