Two motorcyclists killed in Lyari Expressway accident

Two men were killed in a motorbike accident on the Lyari Expressway, apparently due to speeding, police said on Sunday. Federal B Industrial Area SHO Farrukh Shehryar said the accident occurred near the Super Highway exit close to the Sohrab Goth Nadi Bridge.

Police said the motorbike (registration No. KTG-3600) reportedly met with an accident after the rider lost control due to excessive speed. Both individuals riding it died on the spot. Based on the documents recovered from the scene, police identified one of the deceased as Liaquat Ali, son of Ghulam Hussain, a resident of Malir Rehri Goth. The other deceased was identified as Gul Bahar, son of Hassan. Their bodies were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Police said that further investigation into the accident is under way. They appealed to the relatives and acquaintances of the deceased to contact the Federal B Industrial Area police station to assist in the identification and notification process.
