ISLAMABAD: European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, European Commission Vice President Kaja Kallas, will reach Islamabad tomorrow (June 1) to attend the 8th EU-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue.
She will co-chair the dialogue along with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar.
This is the eighth round of Strategic Dialogue between the EU and Pakistan, providing an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations under the Strategic Engagement Plan, signed in June 2019. Ms Kallas will later hold a joint news conference with Dar. During the visit, she will also meet President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir. She is also scheduled to interact with representatives of think-tanks and academia.
