KARACHI: Geo TV is all set to bring a double dose of entertainment for its viewers with the launch of two new drama serials, “Zabt” and “Tapish,” from June 1. Featuring distinct storylines and compelling characters, both productions promise to captivate audiences with their engaging narratives.
Drama serial “Zabt” will premiere on June 1 and air daily at 7:00 PM. Written by Saima Akram Chaudhry and directed by Tahseen Khan, the drama explores the dynamics of the joint family system, traditional family values, respect for elders, and the growing differences between generations.
The cast includes Sachal Afzal, Zoha Tauqeer, Daniyal Khan, Sarah Ejaz, Samina Ahmed, Ali Khan, Laila Wasti, Qaiser Khan Nizamani, Angeline Malik, Arjumand Rahim, Iman Ahmed, and others. Meanwhile, “Tapish” will also begin airing on June 1 and will be broadcast every Monday and Tuesday at 8:00 PM. Penned by Rehana Aftab and directed by Ahmed Bhatti, the drama revolves around love, emotions, and the complexities of relationships.
The lead cast features Muneeb Butt, Laiba Khan, and Saad Qureshi, while Saba Faisal, Farhan Tahir, Sharmeen Ali, Tipu Sharif, Amina Malik, Imran Qureshi, and others play pivotal roles. The original soundtracks (OSTs) of both dramas are also expected to attract considerable attention. For “Zabt,” singer Wajeeha Farooqi lends her voice to lyrics by Swati Sharma and composition by Tarun Sharma.
The OST of “Tapish” features the voices of Wajeeha Farooqi, Javeria Saud, and the Sabri Sisters, adding further depth and appeal to the production. Produced by Iram Bint Shahid, both serials present different shades of love, relationships, emotions, and family values. Geo TV viewers will be able to watch “Zabt” daily at 7:00 PM and “Tapish” every Monday and Tuesday at 8:00 PM from June 1.
