KARACHI: The star cast of Geo Films and Filmwala Pictures’ film “Zombied” paid a surprise visit to a cinema in Hyderabad, where they received an enthusiastic welcome from moviegoers. A large number of fans gathered to meet the film’s lead actors, Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat, taking selfies and interacting with them.
The stars also added to the excitement by personally selling tickets at the cinema’s ticket counter. Speaking to Geo News, Mehwish Hayat said that the entire team was excited during the making of the film because it was bringing something new to Pakistani cinema. She added that seeing house-full screenings and such a positive response from audiences, particularly in Hyderabad, was a source of great happiness and satisfaction. Fahad Mustafa said that while making the film, the team often felt as though they were taking a huge risk.
However, the overwhelming response from audiences has made all their efforts worthwhile. He said the excitement and energy being witnessed in cinemas today was beyond words and reflected the public’s appreciation for quality entertainment. He further stated that “Zombied” is currently dominating nearly 80 percent of cinema screens across major cities, including Karachi, Lahore and Hyderabad. Fahad remarked that filmmaking is truly a form of madness, but it is this passion that drives people to create something unique. He credited the film’s success to its director and producer, saying their vision, dedication and hard work had resulted in an outstanding production that is now earning admiration and appreciation from audiences across the country.
