FC soldier martyred in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A soldier of the Frontier Corps was martyred after terrorists stopped a passenger bus on the Kulachi-Hathala road for checking and kidnapped him, sources said on Saturday.

They said that Hafiz Muhammad Owais, the soldier of paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC), was travelling from Kulachi along with other passengers when the bus was intercepted about three miles from Kulachi. The gunmen reportedly searched the passengers and allegedly found a service card in Owais’s possession. He was then taken out and martyred in front of other passengers.

The deceased was serving in the Frontier Corps (FC) and was a resident of Haroonabad locality in Kulachi. He had reportedly returned home to spend Eid with his family.

The sources claimed that the gunmen also took three civilians with them. The three were later released in injured condition.

The injured persons, identified as Sakhi Jan, a resident of Haroonabad, Rahim Bakhsh, a resident of Garah Guldad, and Akbar Zaman, a resident of Qasimabad in Kulachi, were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Kulachi, for treatment.
