DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUIF) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that Eidul Azha brought a new message of hope, unity and sacrifice for Muslims amid the darkness of unrest, oppression, deception and despair.

Addressing the Eid congregation at Abdulkhel, he said Eidul Azha taught Muslims to sacrifice their personal interests and desires for noble causes. He said whether it was the great pillar of Islam, Hajj-e-Mabroor, or the sacred act of sacrifice, Muslims across the world performed these acts in obedience to Allah without any distinction or discrimination, making it a great example of human equality.

The Maulana said that on this occasion of joy, Muslims should not forget the oppressed people of Gaza and other suffering Muslims around the world. He also urged people to remember those citizens in Pakistan who were unable to perform sacrifice due to skyrocketing inflation.

The JUIF chief prayed that Allah Almighty may make this Eidul Azha a source of happiness and prosperity for the country and accept the Hajj and sacrifices of the faithful.

After offering Eid prayers, Maulana Fazlur Rehman exchanged Eid greetings with citizens and inquired about their well-being. Former opposition leader in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Maulana Lutfur Rehman, JUIF Digital Media Cell coordinator, Maulana Ziaur Rehman and party’s provincial deputy head Maulana Ubaidur Rehman were also present on the occasion.
