LAHORE:Lahore Police intensified operations to enforce Section 144 during the holidays.DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said 45 suspects were arrested and 38 cases registered for illegally collecting animal hides without permission. Only organisations registered with the Charity Commission are allowed to collect hides. He added that action was also taken against individuals roasting trotters at public places, with 38 arrests and 26 cases registered.
Two held for stealing sacrificial animals
Sabzazar Police arrested two suspects involved in stealing sacrificial animals. Police said the suspects, Sajid and Ahsan, were traced using CCTV footage. Three goats, cash worth Rs200,000, and a loader rickshaw used in the crime were recovered. Cases were registered.
Suspect arrested for abducting, torturing man
Sabzazar Police arrested a key suspect involved in allegedly abducting and torturing a young man. According to police, the victim was taken to a private location and subjected to violence. Following the report, police registered a case and arrested the main suspect.
