KARACHI: DIG Security Dr Maqsood Ahmed has launched a comprehensive security training handbook aimed at promoting modern policing and professional security training standards in Pakistan.
Officials said the handbook was formally launched during a ceremony in which a copy was presented to President Asif Ali Zardari by DIG Ahmed.According to officials, the handbook has been prepared by the SSU as a modern and practical training document designed to enhance the professional capabilities of police and security personnel.
The publication focuses on contemporary policing and security challenges and includes detailed material on counter-terrorism, cyber security, emergency response, VVIP security arrangements, motorcade management, and Personal Security Detail protocols.
Officials said the handbook also incorporates real-life operational experiences and international security guidelines to improve the quality and effectiveness of police training and security operations.
