CTO inspects bus terminals, issues tickets against overcharging

Rawalpindi:Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam visited various transport hubs before Eid-ul-Azha regarding overcharging and overloading of passengers.

He checked the driving licenses of the drivers and inquired about the fares and facilities provided by the hubs. CTO During the action against those who collected excess fares, overloaded passengers and drove without driving licenses during Eid-ul-Azha, 107 challans have been issued so far.

Action will also be taken against those who set up hubs at different places and obstructed the flow of traffic. Drivers running public services will be allowed to drive only on public service driving licenses. Immediate action will be taken on misbehavior with passengers and complaints received from them.

He said that the process of providing awareness to transporters and passengers about traffic rules and other aspects is also ongoing. On the other hand, passengers they were going to their hometowns have complained that powerful transporters continuously overcharging.
