LAHORE:The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) will distribute 1.5 million eco-friendly waste bags free of cost in the provincial capital to facilitate the proper disposal of animal waste during Eid-ul-Azha. SPAL has completed preparations for a large-scale cleanliness operation across the city ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, with special focus on cattle markets and surrounding areas.
To review sanitation arrangements, SPAL DG Babar Sahib Din visited the Manawan cattle market and several city areas along with Deputy CEOs Altaf Ansari and Mubeen Ahsan. During the visit, cleaning operational teams briefed the officials on cleanliness measures being carried out at cattle markets established across Lahore.
Officials informed the SPAL DG that waste generated at the markets was being removed on a daily basis, while water sprinkling was being ensured through washer vehicles and washer rickshaws to maintain cleanliness and reduce dust.
SPAL DG also visited the Suthra Punjab camp at the Manawan cattle market, where he met sanitation workers and inspected the quality of waste bags being provided for Eid cleanliness operations.
