Sindh Senior Minister for Information and Transport & Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon on Monday said that under the rules and regulations, regular time is allocated for call-attention notices, so every member of the provincial assembly must adhere to the prescribed rules.

Speaking in the PA, Memon said that the main purpose of call-attention notices is to present an issue before the House in a short, comprehensive and effective manner.

All members represent their respective constituencies, which is a valuable process, but long speeches and unnecessary details should be avoided so that all questions and answers can be completed within the stipulated time, he added.

He censured the incident that took place in Balochistan, expressing his sympathy and offering his condolences to the affected families. He said that the whole world is praising the thoughtful and wise role played by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir during the tensions between the US and Iran.

Good news will emerge in the coming days that will be significant not only for Pakistan but also for the entire world, proving that Pakistan is a peace-loving country that believes in reconciliation, he added. He credited the federal government, the PM and the field marshal for this.

He said that the joyous occasion of Eidul Azha is near, and prayed that all pilgrims going to perform Hajj return home safely and soundly.

He also said the Pakistan Peoples Party has given a great gift to Karachi’s people in the form of Shahrah-e-Bhutto, which is a highly important project not only for Karachi and Sindh but also for the entire country. He added that he had travelled to Hyderabad for the distribution ceremony of the Pink Scooter scheme, and arrived by 12:30pm for the one-hour programme.

Memon said that after the inauguration of the Shahrah-e-Bhutto project, strong statements opposing it began to emerge, although good and quality work should always be welcomed and appreciated.

People do not need empty slogans and chaos, but rather unity and solidarity, he added. Regarding the occasion of Eid, he urged people to demonstrate forgiveness, tolerance and unity.
