Mental health is one of the most important yet most ignored issues in the country. Unlike physical illnesses, discussions about stress, anxiety and depression are often avoided, leaving many to silently struggle out of fear of judgment. Many people believe that talking about emotional struggles is a sign of weakness, which prevents individuals from seeking help. Students often isolate themselves, lose confidence and struggle to manage their daily lives.
To solve this issue, schools and colleges should introduce regular mental health awareness programmes and provide counselling services for students. Families must create supportive environments where children feel comfortable expressing their feelings without fear of judgment. In addition, the media and government should work together to spread awareness and normalise mental health discussions.
