Islamabad : Professor Javaid Iqbal Mughal, principal of Islamabad Model College for Boys, H-9, has been appointed as Deputy Director General (Operations) to the Federal Directorate of Education, marking an important administrative development in the federal education system.

According to an official notification, Prof Mughal, currently serving as Principal of IMCB, H-9, will assume his new responsibilities at FDE Headquarters while retaining additional charge of his present post. He replaces Dr Yaseen Afaqi, who was previously serving in the position.

Mughal brings extensive academic and administrative experience, having served in prominent institutions including Islamabad Model College for Boys, Sihala and Islamabad Model Postgraduate College, H-8. He is widely regarded as a committed educationist with a deep understanding of institutional challenges and reforms in the public education sector.
