Islamabad : Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, in a special video message addressed to the citizens, emphasized the importance of observing traffic laws.

He stated that lane violations, wrong-way driving, and reckless and negligent driving not only endanger the lives of drivers themselves but also put other road users at serious risk.

He said that traffic violations are among the major causes of fatal accidents, and eliminating such dangerous behavior is essential for protecting the lives and property of citizens.

The CTO made it clear that ITP is going to launch a vigorous and indiscriminate crackdown against all such traffic violations to ensure a safe, organized, and responsible traffic environment in the federal capital.

He appealed to citizens to demonstrate responsibility by strictly following traffic laws, maintaining lane discipline, avoiding wrong-way driving, and exercising caution and responsibility while driving. He added that public cooperation is the foundation of a safe traffic system.

He added that ITP was taking all possible measures to protect citizens’ lives, while legal action will be taken against those violating traffic laws.

At the conclusion of his message, CTO Virk urged citizens to cooperate with traffic police and prove themselves to be civilised and responsible citizens by adhering to traffic regulations.
