Islamabad : Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a high-level meeting to comprehensively review the administrative, security, and welfare affairs of the Islamabad Police, signaling a renewed focus on modernizing the capital's law enforcement infrastructure.

The meeting was attended by senior leadership, including DIG (Headquarters) Malik Jameel Zafar, DIG (Security) Rana Umar Farooq, AIG (Logistics) Abdul Haq Umrani, AIG (General) Syed Inayat Ali Shah, and SSP (Model Prisons Islamabad) Ali Akbar, among other top officials.

The agenda centered on detailed evaluations of police administrative affairs, security arrangements, logistical support, ongoing construction projects, welfare initiatives for personnel, and public facilitation measures. Participants also reviewed the progress of current development projects and formulated future operational strategies.

Addressing the forum, IGP Rizvi emphasized that professional standards, transparency, and timely completion must guide all ongoing and future initiatives. He underscored that the ultimate objective of these projects is to provide citizens with modern, effective, and high-quality policing services, maintaining that earning public trust and ensuring dignified service delivery are the core priorities of the department.

Following the strategy session, IGP Rizvi conducted a field visit to the Aabpara Police Station, accompanied by DIG Islamabad, the AIG of the Special Branch, the SSP of Investigation, and the SSP of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).

During the site visit, the IGP inspected the ongoing development and upgradation work being carried out under the Special Initiatives Police Stations (SIPS) protocol. He stated that police stations are undergoing a transformation that goes beyond aesthetic improvements, aiming to establish them as modern service centers where the public can access facilities in a welcoming and dignified environment. He issued immediate directives to the relevant officers to accelerate the pace of work while maintaining high quality.

Concluding his field inspections, IGP Rizvi visited the Police Khidmat Markaz in sector H-11. He instructed AIG General Syed Inayat Ali Shah to oversee the facility's upgrade, focusing on the integration of modern amenities and the further simplification of procedures to ensure the swift and effective delivery of public services.
