In the contemporary employment ecosystem, obtaining a job for a fresh graduate has become a challenge. As the traditional job market becomes saturated or automated, universities should be engaged in cultivating young business leaders and building the mindset that creates opportunities for others and generates new employment. Business is the driving force of the economy, with technology opening new gateways that allow one to start with limited capital. Universities should establish incubation centres, mentorship programmes, small seed-funding opportunities and market-based assignments. Pakistan needs graduates who can solve problems, create employment and contribute to the economy. Nurturing entrepreneurs is an investment in the country’s future.
