253 awarded degrees in KKKU’s first convocation

KARAK: Around 253 graduating students from various disciplines were awarded degrees as Khushal Khan Khattak University (KKKU) held its first convocation here on Thursday.

Provincial Minister for Higher Education Meena Khan Afridi attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Tahir Khalily presided over the event. The p ceremony was attended by faculty members, administrative officers, staff, students, parents, and a large number of distinguished guests.

Degrees were awarded to students from science and social science departments, including 196 BS graduates, eight students from BA, BSc, and B.Ed programmes, two MS graduates, 28 MPhil scholars, and 19 Master’s degree holders. In recognition of exceptional academic performance, 75 students were awarded gold medals.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Tahir Khalily welcomed the

chief guest and congratulated the graduates, gold medalists, and their families on their academic achievements.

He highlighted the university’s educational facilities, academic activities, and ongoing challenges, expressing confidence that with continued public and government support, the institution would emerge as one of Pakistan’s leading universities.
