Elite panel trio to officiate Pakistan-Australia ODIs

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board has named a high-profile panel of match officials for the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Australia, with Sri Lanka’s Graeme La Brooy appointed match referee for all games.

The series will be played from May 30 to June 4, with the opening ODI at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and the next two fixtures at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. La Brooy, who represented Sri Lanka in nine Tests and 44 ODIs between 1986 and 1992, will lead the playing control team across the series.

Three members of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires — Pakistan’s Ahsan Raza, England’s Richard Kettleborough, and Sri Lanka’s Kumar Dharmasena — will share on-field and TV umpire roles during the series.

Match-by-Match Officials 1st ODI – May 30, Rawalpindi

The series opener in Rawalpindi will see Kumar Dharmasena and Pakistan’s Asif Yaqoob, a member of the ICC Emerging Umpires Panel, take charge on the field. Richard Kettleborough will serve as third umpire, with Faisal Khan Aafreedi as fourth umpire.

2nd ODI – June 2, Lahore

At Gaddafi Stadium, Richard Kettleborough will stand alongside Faisal Khan Aafreedi, who is part of the ICC International Panel of Umpires. Kumar Dharmasena moves to the TV umpire’s role, while Asif Yaqoob will be the fourth umpire. 3rd ODI – June 4, Lahore.
