PM named chairperson as federal govt forms Daanish Schools Authority Board

The federal government has constituted the Daanish Schools Authority Board under the Daanish Schools Authority Act, 2026, with Prime Minister serving as its chairperson, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.

The notification stated that the board had been constituted for a three-year term on a pro bono basis. Under the notified composition, the federal minister for education will serve as vice-chairperson, while the federal secretary for education, federal secretary for finance, and federal secretary for planning, development and special initiatives will serve as members.

The board also includes Ms Zoobia Dogar, Senator Agha Shahzaib Durrani, singer and social activist Shehzad Roy, Mushtaq Jadoon, Asim Bashir Khan, Musharraf Zaidi and advocate Ali Raza Shah as members. The managing director of the authority will also serve on the board.

According to the notification, the Daanish Schools Authority will exercise all powers and functions prescribed under Section 4 of the Daanish Schools Authority Act, 2026.
