A comedic two-character play, Mulaqat, was staged on Monday as part of the NAPA Repertory Festival at the Zia Mohyeddin Theatre of the National Academy of Performing Arts.
The play revolves around a man and a woman who meet at a suburban railway platform after their train is cancelled. Their unexpected encounter unfolds with humor and irony, potentially changing their lives.
Adapted by Waqas Akthar from an original work by Jean Pierre Martinez, the production has been directed by Osama Ranjha and stars Waqas Akthar and Tooba Naeem. A houseful of theatre enthusiasts attended and appreciated the performance. The play will also be staged on Tuesday.
