LAHORE:On the completion of one year of historic victory in the ‘Marka-e-Haq’ and ‘Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos’, the Punjab Assembly passed a resolution congratulating Pakistan’s armed forces and other defence institutions.
The resolution moved by Provincial Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman paid glowing tribute to the martyrs and war heroes of the Marka-e-Haq. The House commended the entire nation, which stood united with the armed forces during this critical time.
According to the resolution, the success of this battle was not only the result of the bravery of the armed forces but also of national unity and solidarity. The resolution added that the armed forces and other security institutions of the country have always lived up to the nation’s expectations in difficult times.
The resolution stated that this remarkable victory of the armed forces crushed the enemy’s arrogance and raised the nation’s pride. It said the background to this historic success was that India, using the Pahalgam false-flag operation of April 22, 2025 as a pretext, launched a cowardly attack on Pakistan during the night between May 6 and 7, 2025.
It added that Indian aggression had endangered not only regional peace but also global peace. It said that under the political and military leadership, the National Security Committee had granted full authority to Pakistan’s armed forces to respond to Indian aggression, following which the armed forces, under the leadership of CDF Field Marshal Asim Munir, lived up to the expectations and trust of the nation.
Later, the MPAs across the House lauded Pak Armed forces for their remarkable and historic success. Ruling party MPA Ahmed Saeed Khan said that India tried to falsely blame Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident and misled the world with lies. He said the role played by Pakistan’s armed forces and the government in responding to Indian terrorism was a matter of pride.
