Sindh Senior Minister for Information and Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon on Sunday congratulated the nation on the completion of one year since Marka-e-Haq (Battle of Truth), describing it as a defining chapter of courage, unity and patriotism in Pakistan’s history.
A statement quoted Memon as saying that one year ago Pakistan had erased India’s sindoor, symbolising, what he termed as, the country’s decisive response and victory during the conflict.
He said Marka-e-Haq was not merely a war but a powerful story of national unity, resilience and love for Pakistan. According to him, the courage, steadfastness and solidarity displayed by the nation during that period would be written in golden words in the country’s history.
He also said the conflict had proved that no power in the world can cast an evil eye on Pakistan. He paid tribute to the armed forces, saying that the soldiers of Pakistan’s armed forces have always rendered immense sacrifices and made the country’s defence impregnable through their bravery and commitment. He added that the nation would never forget the sacrifices of their martyrs and veterans, and that whenever Pakistan’s security and national dignity are threatened, the entire nation stands united like a wall of steel.
The senior minister said the Pakistan Peoples Party and the Sindh government have always played a vital role in safeguarding national security, democracy and public welfare. Paying tribute to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, he said that their struggle for the country’s defence and people’s welfare continue to serve as a guiding light for the nation.
