China-Pakistan investment deal signed

KASUR: Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain visited the Mustafabad Pando Village Special Economic Zone developed by China’s Challenge Apparel Group, where a major investment agreement was signed between China’s IBI Group and Challenge Group.

The agreement was signed by Minister Shafay Hussain and IBI Group Director Madam Liu. The ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, Industries Secretary Umar Masood, Challenge Group Chairman Huang, LESCO Chief Ramzan Butt, and Chinese investors. Senior officials from the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, including DG Dr Sohail Ahmed and Director Dr Imran Hashmi, were also present.

Addressing the ceremony, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain described Challenge Group as a role model for industrial growth and foreign investment, noting that the group has already invested millions of dollars in Punjab with further expansion underway.
